Canine Common Sense Comes To GA

After a while of not being able to post any blogs, I am back!  My human has been so busy and traveling that we just haven’t been able to post much.  Hopefully, that’s over with for the time being.

As the three of us watched election returns coming in Tuesday night I began to think that the humans in our state have begun to develop some “canine common sense”.  Two amendments to the state constitution were on the ballot and both passed with margins that left no room for doubt regarding the majority.  Patton was pleased Amendment one passed and I was pleased with the second.  Actually we were both pleased that they both passed, but we each had a favorite issue.  Isn’t that how it usually goes?

Anyway, Amendment Two to the state constitution dealt with allowing the state to enter into multi-year lease agreements with private sector companies.  This made so much sense to me that I couldn’t understand why anyone would think it wasn’t a good idea.  It will save the taxpayers money and, it cuts down on wasted time finding a new place to house various agencies and/or negotiate new agreements every year.

American’s For Prosperity, one of my human’s favorite advocacy groups, supported the measure and worked diligently to inform voters in our state about why it was a good idea.  I have to thank them for their “canine common sense”.  We could use more groups like this!

So, Patton and I are back to blogging now that we have our human’s hands to type for us as we dictate.  And after the election results of Tuesday night, you can bet we’re going to have a lot to say.  We’ll be helping our human keeping elected officials on every level of government accountable and sharing our canine views of the world.  Our work has just begun.  We are NOT defeated!
