He Was Thirsty...So What?

My human, the Ponytail Patriot, has been very busy lately and I'm so proud of her. But now it's my turn and I want to address the issue of Marco Rubio taking a drink of water during the GOP response to the Petulant President's SOTU.

Who cares? The man had just recorded a spanish version of his speech and his mouth was dry. So what if he needed to wet his whistle? Seriously...this is what folks want to talk about?

It didn't bother me that he took a drink of water. What bothered me is the person who placed the water bottle on a table so far away that the reach was awkward. Yes, I said it, they should have placed it a little closer to the man.

Eventually I will be announcing my candidacy for Senate in 2014 and I want to make it clear when it's my turn to give the GOP response to the SOTU what I expect. I expect the humans setting it up to place either a very large water bowl or a toilet as close as possible to me and the microphone. Hey...I'm a canine, a toilet works for me to get a drink of water on occasion. Are you going to criticize that?

Get over it humans. Canine common sense dictates that anyone giving a speech at anytime will get thirsty. The left is just upset that Rubio gave a better speech in a shorter amount of time. It didn't take him an hour to tell us the Petulant President has no clue as to what he's doing.

Now, can we get back to the important issues? You know...jobs, the economy, gas prices...etc.

Canines Support Chick-fil-A

I am so proud of my human for supporting Dan Cathy and his company today.  I am even happier that she is bringing Chick-fil-A home for mine and Patton’s dinner tonight.  I may not be buying it myself, but she is allowing me to do my part just the same.

I have a difficult time understanding why humans get so worked up over another person having a different opinion on an issue.  Humans really need to get a grip on reality and realize that they are all unique and each has their own point of view.  My human is always telling Patton and I that no two people will agree with each other 100% of the time.  So what if Mr. Cathy believes in traditional marriage, it doesn’t mean he likes others with a differing opinion any less!

I disagree with Patton’s opinion that we should play 24 hours a day.  He disagrees with my opinion that 20 of 24 hours a day should be spent sleeping.  We still manage to get along and we even live under the same roof.  No one is forcing anyone else to believe as they do.  Chick-fil-A does not ban anyone from eating at or working for their company.  Mr. Cathy expressed a personal opinion he did NOT break the law by discriminating against anyone!

It’s time for individual humans to realize they are not the center of the universe and that others may disagree with them on viewpoints.  I honestly believe that Americans could do with a little more canine common sense and a lot less “political correctness” gone amuck!
