A Little More Canine Common Sense, Please

What is it going to take for conservatives to wake up?  Seriously folks, do you honestly think that ALL Americans have had enough of Obama or that they have even seen through his socialistic ideology?  If I, a mere canine, can see that not all Americans have seen the BS coming out of the current administration, why can’t you?

Every day I witness people taking the word of someone else just because they can’t be bothered to actually dig into facts for themselves.  What’s worse is that they’re taking the word of liberal Hollywood.  I know that Cher is not a trustworthy source of information and I’m just a dog!  It is disheartening to see a few working so diligently to combat this onslaught of liberalism while others complacently sit by and do nothing because they’re convinced that the general population sees through Hollywood and liberals like Debbie Wasserman-Shultz.

The upcoming presidential election is probably the most important one of my human’s lifetime.  This election will decide if America continues down the path of destruction set forth by Obama and his minions or if she will make a u-turn and follow the path back to the foundations set forth by the Founding Fathers in the U.S. Constitution.  No one can afford to sit back and not be giving it their all.

I’m thinking that conservatives could use with a little more “canine common sense” and a lot less “we don’t have to worry about that group attitude”.

(Is it just me or is the mentality of the left?)

What Does Your Child Learn?

Everyday my human complains about liberals taking over the education system in America.  After watching the following YouTube video, I have to agree.

First, this woman clearly has no control over her own classroom.  While listening to this, I heard plenty of kids in the classroom having conversations that are obviously not related to the subject.  That one fact alone give me serious pause about her ability to teach any of our children.  How can you teach if you can't command the attention of your pupils?

Second, this woman has no idea what FREE SPEECH means.  The student is correct.  It is not a crime to voicing a dissenting opinion against the President of the United States.  It is a crime to THREATEN the President.  This kid questioned the information being presented and tried to get both sides.  That was in NO WAY a threat or slandering Obama.

Last, why has this teacher not been fired?  I can guarantee you that any teacher who would talk to my human's daughter that way because she asked a valid question would be in deep water.  My human would be taking her stilettos and bopping the teacher on the head with the heels for bullying her child that way.  The point of school is to educate.  You can't teach if you aren't willing to hear the question.

This teacher is clearly NOT a teacher.  She is a bully who uses her position to drive home HER opinion.  It is the opinion of this canine that she prefers to only hear what others have to say IF they agree with her.  That is NOT what school is about and I would hope that the school district would reprimand her immediately.  Of course, with unions in control...I don't see that one happening any time soon.  Wonder what your children are being subjected to by their Social Studies teachers.

The Unforgivable

This morning my human woke up to find Patton had committed an unforgivable sin.  He ate her shoes!  It is such a horrendous act in her mind that she actually compared him to Obama.  Can you believe that?  In a way I can understand it.  They both destroy things and neither have learned from their mistakes yet.

After twelve full hours, Candi is still giving Patton the evil eye.  The poor little guy is so upset that he hasn't eaten his food and is walking around with his head hung in shame trying to stay out of her way.  If only Obama would behave that way for the American people.  Just like Patton he has a lot to answer for and a lot to be ashamed of.  How he could think destroying the freedom that makes America great is a good thing is beyond this canine's scope of understanding.

Eventually Candi will forgive Patton.  The shoes will be replaced with new ones and all will be well in that area soon.  Unfortunately for America, this country can never be replaced.  And much like Candi was thinking about taking Patton to doggie jail for his unforgivable sin this morning, Americans should be thinking along the same lines when it comes to Obama.  We cannot tolerate his behavior any longer.  We cannot allow him to continue the destruction of the greatest country on Earth.  To do so would be truly unforgivable!

One thing that makes Patton different from Obama is that he doesn't understand what he's doing yet.  All he knows is that he can smell our human on clothing, shoes and various other things and he wants to be close to her and play.  Obama, on the other hand, knows exactly what he is doing and doesn't give a flip.  Obama is not wanting to make things better for Americans, he is wanting to enslave them.

Often children destroy what they love most because they don't know any better.  Patton is that child.  But sometimes, they do know better and do it anyway.  Obama is that child.  Please help my human keep Obama from doing anymore harm to our country.  Call your representatives in D.C. and let them know where you stand.  Make sure to vote in November.  We can't have a willful child like Obama for another four years anymore than Candi can have Patton continuing to chew on her favorite 'sinning shoes'.

Obama's Audacity Has No Limits

Sometimes I’m just dumbfounded by human behavior.  Seriously…there are just some things that you don’t do!  Our President has got to be one of the most “self-important” people I’ve ever had the misfortune to watch in action.  Why was it necessary for him to insert himself into the biographies of other President’s on www.whitehouse.gov?  It isn’t like he didn’t get his very own bio on the website!

Apparently that wasn’t good enough.  Obama thinks he is God and that all other Presidents were just a prelude to his greatness.  Starting with Calvin Coolidge, he inserted himself into at least 13 other bios of past President’s.  How arrogant is that?  Isn’t enough for the egotistical blowhard that he has his own bio and the distinction of being the first African-American President? 

He even had the audacity to insert himself into a TEA Party hero, Ronald Reagan.  This is something that my human was particularly humored by.  Obviously, Obama thinks he is Reagan’s equal.  I wonder how it feels to live in an alternate universe?  And forgive me, but Reagan calling for a fairer tax code is in no way the same as Obama’s “Buffet Rule”.  I know I’m just a canine, but how does asking people to pay MORE than others make the tax code fair? Really Mr. President, you may want to look up the definition of fair again.

We did find it somewhat appropriate that he would compare himself to Jimmy Carter.  After all, in my opinion, it’s a toss-up as to who is the worst President in U.S. History.  And both like to complain about how they get no cooperation from Congress.  The DOE and the EPA are doing their best to insure that Energy Independence don’t happen unless it’s “Green Energy”.  And we all know that means higher energy prices in the future because the technology for “Green Energy” just isn’t there to make it cheaper.  Of course, Solyndra could always magically come up with a formula to make it so cheap they can begin operations again with no money.

What a narcissistic fool Obama is!  How ridiculous is it that he can’t be satisfied with his very own bio on the White House website?  If you ask me, it is just bad form to insert yourself into another’s bio when you have one of your own.  Not only is it bad form, but it shows just what a lack of self esteem you have!  Obviously Mr. Obama needs to learn that actions speak louder than words and that all the words in the world will not cover up the idiocy of your actions.  Those who are actually accomplishing something good do not need to talk about how they’ve built upon what others have started.

If I, a mere ‘female dog’, know that this unlimited audacity is bad for the country, why doesn’t everyone else?  If you think he’s narcissistic now, just wait until he does away with elections completely and our nation becomes enslaved.

W. VA Decides Which Inmate They Want

Humans!  I love you all.  You are an unending source of humor for canines like me.  This morning while perusing the news with my favorite human, I noticed that 40% of humans in one state would rather have a convict in prison over the current President of the United States.  This strikes me as really funny.

What does it say about the current administration that these humans, which are registered Democrats, would rather have a criminal in the White House than Obama?  It says a lot to me.  It says that the ‘enlightened ones’ (Democrats) aren’t buying his bull any more.  I’ve known for years that conservatives like my human weren’t buying it, but seeing that humans on the other side aren’t is….well…it brings this canine hope.

You see, even dogs know that America can’t afford another four years of Obama and his policies.  I know you probably think I’m worried about Obama being in office for another four years because I might wind up on someone’s dinner plate, but I can assure you that is not the case.  I’m worried because I’ve seen first-hand what his programs have done to my human’s family.  Their business almost didn’t survive some of his programs.  As I am totally dependent upon the success of their business for my needs, it frightened me.  It still frightens me.  I’m worried that the excessive taxation that Obama and his cronies are so keen on will leave my human without a way to take me to the vet, pay for my food or even allow her to not work long enough to take me on long walks and/or hikes.

I want to give two paws up to all the voters in West Virginia for casting a vote against Obama in yesterday’s democratic primary!  Woof Woof to y’all!

Pelosi, Pot and State Rights

It seems that Nancy Pelosi is calling for Obama to respect states rights.  I realize that it’s mainly over ‘medical marijuana’, but I still find it odd that she is in favor of states rights at all.  Isn’t this the same woman who helped give us Obamacare?  

Hang on…Candi needs help getting off the floor because she’s laughing so hard.

Ok…Candi is going to be just fine.  I was worried for a moment because she was snorting and couldn’t catch her breath. 

I cannot be the only one who finds the irony of this story.  Since when do liberals and Democrats care about states rights?  The last time I checked, which was just a few moments ago, they were more concerned about the federal government being in complete control of every aspect of American lives.  Want proof?  Just look at Obamacare.  The individual mandate alone is proof positive that liberals/Democrats want to dictate to the individuals and the states what is best for them.  Nancy honey…put down the bong!

Wait…Candi fell over laughing again.  I’ll be right back.

Of course Pelosi comes from an extremely liberal state that is very concerned about legalizing “pot”, but still…the hypocrisy of her wanting states rights respected on this while not respecting any other states rights is too funny!  I have to wonder what she put in that bong of hers.  Do you suppose she has her own medical marijuana garden in her backyard and she’s worried about the raids on her own property?  It could be.

Issues Belong To Everyone

The Obama campaign comes up with a composite fictional character named Julia to feature in a slide show about how he is helping women.  Excuse me a moment, I’m laughing hysterically with my human!  Ok…I’m done for the time being.  The fictional character starts at age three and goes through age sixty-seven in the slideshow.  At the end we see the final panel that says:

From cracking down on gender discrimination in health care costs to fighting for equal pay, President Obama is standing up for women throughout their lives.

Candi and I are trying to figure out just how he doesn’t discriminate against women with his healthcare law.  We can’t see that he’s really done anything new on the equal pay front, either.  And throughout the entire thing, he tells us what Romney would do to reverse all Obama’s hard work.  Excuse me just a moment.  Mr. Obama, did you do all the things you claim in the slideshow between rounds of golf and family vacations? 

Here’s the thing.  I’ve been watching and I know with absolute certainty that liberals and democrats don’t honestly care about women’s issues.  All they’re trying to do is keep the country divided by breaking down individual things into a specific group issue. 

The fact of the matter is…all issues belong to everyone.  Stop making this about men or women and white or black.  The issues facing this country are non-racial and non-gender.  Seriously people, take it from this “female dog” and stop the nonsense.  Let’s get down to the business of finding real solutions to problems that belong to all races and genders!

The Roof Or The Plate?

Once again distraction has taken hold of us all and we are forgetting the real issues of the day.  As a canine, I feel I have a special perspective on this particular distraction.  Regardless of which camp you may be a part of, both sides have not been particularly kind to my species.  And with that being said, I think I prefer to stick with Romney over Obama when it comes to doggie issues.

First, let me say that I know Romney is definitely out of touch when it comes to what is in the best interests of canines in this country.  No one who truly cared about my species would put an obviously nervous tempered dog in a crate and tie it to the roof of their vehicle while traveling on vacation.  He further showed a lack of real concern when he stopped to “hose off the mess” and continue on without seeing to it that the dog was really ok.  This is NOT cool!  However, I feel that with a little training, Romney could be taught to be a proper human to his canine companions.

Now I don’t know what to say about Obama and his “dog eating” habits.  I do know that I am fortunate not to have been born in Asia where dog meat is considered a main staple in the diet.  I know that Obama was just a boy when living in Indonesia and that he ate things he probably wouldn’t consider eating now.  With that being said, if he was brave enough to write about eating dog as a boy in his book, I have to wonder if he wouldn’t eat dog meat again.  It is plausible to believe that if you were disgusted by it, you wouldn’t have written about it in a book. 

As a canine, I have a choice to make.  Would I rather support someone who would be inconsiderate enough to tie me to a roof…OR…do I want to support someone who would put me on a plate for dinner?  Hmmm….think I’ll support the guy with the roof! 

Important Week In History

My human says this is probably the most important week of her generation’s lifetime.  She told me that the Supreme Court would be hearing arguments about Obamacare this week and deciding if it was constitutional or not.  A lot of people are attending rallies around the country and there is something going on everyday this week in Washington, DC.  Patriots all across this land are raising their voices to speak out against the tyranny that threatens our freedom. 

On this past Saturday, she attended the “Road To Repeal” rally with Diane Student and Lisa Mei Norton.  She stood in the rain and the cold for two hours freezing with other patriots from around the country.  They joined their voices together with others so that they could be heard by Obama and the Supreme Court.  I know that she would have liked to stay in DC for the entire week, but she had to return and see to the business she runs with her family.  My heart breaks for her because she is not where she wants to be this week and is instead where she needs to be in order to be a contributing member of society.  I am so grateful for the kindness of Diane Student and Lisa Mei Norton who made it possible for her to take the opportunity to stand up and be heard.  And although she can’t be there the rest of this week, there will be other dedicated patriots to take up the banner in DC and continue the fight there.

History is being made right now.  The fate of our country will be determined by nine people.  Will they adhere to the principles set forth in the constitution by our founding fathers?  Or, will they decide that 536 people in Washington should have control over every aspect of American life? 

I know that I’m just a canine, but I agree with my human that this is the most important week in the life of her generation.  I agree with her that freedom and the American way of life are at stake this week.  I pray that the Supreme Court rules in favor of the American people that Obamacare is unconstitutional.  I will attend every local rally and event with my human to help raise our voices against the tyranny that this legislation will usher in if the Court should rule in favor of Obama and his cronies.  Will you raise your voice with ours and shout out against Obamacare?  Will you help us let the Supreme Court know that We The People find this intrusion into our lives unacceptable? 

OWS and the TEA Party Movements

Today was one of those rare days when my human completely flipped out over some comments in the news.  Now this doesn't happen very often, but when it does...watch out!  When she begins to color the air blue with language, I sit back until she finally runs out of steam and then I go try to offer her some comfort.  Today took longer than usual for her to run out of steam.

"Have these political analysts on the left completely lost their minds?" she jumped up and asked.

She then began to pace up and down cursing with such vehemence and volume, that any sailor would be proud.  She ranted on and on about how stupid it was to compare the coherent message of cutting spending and smaller government of the TEA Party movement to the unclear and idiotic demands of the unwashed currently holding cities all over America hostage.  Finally, she began to calm down and I trotted over to lay my head on her lap to comfort her.

"Candi, why are they comparing what those people are doing to what you and your friends stand for," I asked.

She looked down with great sadness in her eyes and said, "Because, Shasta, the liberal media and the liberals in Congress don't want to admit that they've messed up.  They messed up when they forced Obamacare down our throats, they messed up with TARP and they're messing up with this insistence on funding 'green jobs' companies like Solyndra.  And those three things only scrape the surface.  They don't like the TEA Party demanding government get out of the way of the private sector.  They can't control us and it terrifies them.  But what made me so angry is the comparison.  I've been to dozens of rallies and have NEVER seen the kind of behavior that theses 'occupiers' are exhibiting.  To compare our rational and well behaved rallies to this demonstration where drugs are being openly used, people are defecating on police cars and American flags, and where the police are having to arrest hundreds is inexcusable to me."

Because I'm just a dog and don't fully understand I had to ask, "Why though?  What is it that offends you the most?"

She took a deep breath, counted to ten and said, "The TEA Party stands for less government and fiscal responsibility.  These 'occupy' people want big government and more spending.  We stand and salute the flag at rallies.  These people burn it and defecate on it.  We stand peacefully listening to speakers or singing along.  These people chant mindlessly the words of someone with a bull horn.  We clean up after our rallies and put everything back where we found it.  These people throw trash everywhere and make it impossible for anyone else to come in and pick it up.  We have a cohesive and short message.  These people take off their clothing and scream at buildings while holding up traffic.  We quietly and methodically contact our representatives in an attempt to get what we want.  These people scream and rant and rave until the media comes down with cameras and begins to sympathize with their plight.  We have worked for what we have.  They have lived off mom and dad.  We take responsibility for our actions.  They blame everyone else.  The media loves to paint us as violent, although they have no proof of us being unruly or violent.  They paint these people as peaceful, although there is ample evidence of their violence and hatred.  I have a real issue with the media bias on this and trying to get middle class America on the side of these protestors by comparing them to the TEA Party movement.  That is what I am so upset about tonight, Shasta."

I felt her pain and disgust at having the noble ideas and goals of the TEA Party movement compared to what these "occupiers" are doing.  I can see in her eyes the sadness at the thought that her Patriotism is being related to the anti-American rants of the unwashed.  Her total disappointment in elected officials condoning their vile behavior as opposed to condemning their public displays of drug use and sex was something I could not hide from.  It is a horrible thing for a dog not to be able to comfort her human.  But what comfort can I give her, when the country she loves so much is being handed to the socialists by the main-stream media.

When will middle America wake up and realize that they're being handed up like sacrificial lambs to the elite who would have them completely under control?  What will it take for the average Joe to see that the TEA Party movement is based on constitutional principles and that the people participating are law abiding citizens just trying to keep America great?  With comparisons like this one today, it will take even longer to undo the damage that is being done to this great country by the likes of Pelosi, Reid, Wasserman-Shultz, Stephen Lerner, Hoffa Jr., Obama and George Soros.  In the meantime, all I can do is stand with my human and say, "Anyone who thinks the OWS movement and the TEA Party movement are the same has lost their mind!  We suggest you put down your crack pipes, stop drinking the kool-aid and wake up before the very freedoms you grew up with are gone!"

OWS "Young, Spontaneous And Focused"....LMFBO

Today my human was on the road for most of the day and I was left behind to try and figure out how to use a very small Netbook.  This has not gone well since I have large paws and already have difficulty typing.  Finally, I get an email out to her asking her to call and when she did I immediately asked, "Did you hear about Pelosi saying the Occupy Wall Street protestors were young, spontaneous and focused?"  I waited patiently while she laughed hysterically. 

After a few minutes Candi told me that was one of the funniest things she'd heard all day.  Then she sent me a link to an article about the protestors and how nasty they were.  Now I  ask you, how can they be spontaneous and focused when they have pitched a tent city in a public park?  That doesn't make sense to me.  And how in the world can they be focused if everyone has a different message when being interviewed by the left-wing media in love with them?  I don't think either of those things are possible.

I can agree with one thing Pelosi said.  They are young.  Unlike the TEA Party crowd made up mostly of "grown-ups", this crowd has made an enormous mess of Zucotti Park in NYC.  Their tent city has prevented the park owner from properly maintaining the property since September 16th.  As a result, trash is piling up, the park hasn't been pressure washed and what few facilities there are for people to "relieve themselves" hasn't been cleaned.  Only the young would go for weeks without a shower or brushing their teeth, throw trash around everywhere and then deficate in facilities that are definitely unclean.  My one thought, ewwwwwwwwwwww!  Even I go look for a clean place in the woods to my business and I'm a dog!

"Candi, do they not realize how gross their behavior is?  Do they not realize that their selfishness has shut down a park that others would like to enjoy?  Even after they pack up and go home, the mess they will leave behind will probably take days to clean up."

"Shasta, these occupiers are young and they are selfish.  They are protesting the very things that their parents took advantage of to give THEM those ivy league educations, I-Phones and I-Pads and every other material possession they have received without actually having had to work for them.  They have no idea what it is they're protesting or why.  They only know that if they walk around for weeks without showering or brushing their teeth, the left-wing media will come out and give them attention."

"Well dang, Candi.  If they wanted attention, why don't they do what I do?  I trot up to you, sit at your feet and stare until you reach down and scratch me behind the ears.  I have no need to leave Obamas all over the house, or pull out the trash can to drag the contents all over the place.  I just politely tell you what I need and you give it to me."

"Shasta, you've been raised right and these people have been raised by the "village" liberals are so fond of.  That is the difference!"

"Point taken.  By the way, Candi, I'm very upset with you for leaving me behind while you go off to have fun in Nashville at the Stand With Gibson rally.  I may have to start my own occupy protest to let you know what I think of you're insensitivity even though you have provided for my needs while you're away."

After Candi stopped giggling at my last comment, she said goodbye and told me to have fun with Amy and that she'd be home tomorrow night.  Ah well, I guess I'll go back to contemplating the idiocy of liberal ideas.  Ya'll have a good weekend.

Great Compromiser? More Like Great Useful Idiot!

While watching the morning news with my human this morning, we heard that the President refers to himself as "the great compromiser".  Excuse me a few moments while I try to stop laughing.  ***************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** Ok, I'm done now.

First, let me remind everyone that thanks to princess Pelosi's help, healthcare reform of the worst kind was rammed down our throats.  Candi said it best, I think.  "Exactly when did they compromise on that?  I remember them buying votes, and I remember Pelosi telling us we'd have to pass it to find out what's in it.  What I don't remember is the liberals compromising!"  At this time we'd like to refer you to former Senator Blanche Lincoln from Arkansas.  Her vote was bought, they did NOT compromise with her.  Just saying!

Second, in this last "jobs plan" bill, Obama has repeatedly said "pass this bill".  The White House also made it clear that they would only accept "all or nothing".  So...explain to me where the compromise is?  We are hearing constantly about their compromise and how Obama is a "uniter".  Sorry...Candi and I just aren't buying that.

While we were sitting in the living room watching the news and sipping our morning coffee, Candi started to giggle.  "What is so funny," I asked.

"Remember yesterday when I came home and showed you that political definition from wikipedia?  You know...the useful idiots definition?"

"Yes".

"Well, I know that the term was at one time described Communist sympathizers in the U.S. and how the Soviets laughed at those people, but stop and think about it, Shasta.  Doesn't it also described our current administration?  We know that the White House is full of socialists.  And we know that they don't want to compromise while trying to pass their socialist agenda.  Doesn't it make sense that they're like those same "useful idiots" we read about yesterday?"

As I thought about it for a few moments, I came to the decision that those in the current administration are, in fact, useful idiots.  I giggled as I trotted away to get some paper and markers.  When I came back I surprised my human with a sign that said, "Make Obama A One Term Useful Idiot!"

Candi immediately rewarded me with several treats, a good belly rub and a new bone to chew on!

Open Letter To The "Occupy" Protesters

Dear Morons:

That's right...I'm calling you a name.  Want to know why?  Because you obviously don't understand that the very things you're supposedly protesting are the very rules and regulations put in place by the people you voted for!  Let's take a look at it.

First, Wall Street being in bed with big government.  I recall Obama being backed heavily by those Wall Street firms in 2008.  Did you forget about that?  And wasn't it the Clintons who put in place policies to help people who couldn't afford home loans to get them?  I think it was.  Oh my gosh, the very people you support are the very people you are now protesting.  But wait, if you had taken time to actually pay attention to what was going on in government BEFORE, you'd know that already!

Second, the very reason healthcare costs are increasing is because of the absurd Obamacare plan.  That's right!  Ask any business person or health insurance company and they'll show you the numbers of what it's going to cost them to comply with Obamacare.  Did you really think that the cost wouldn't be passed on to consumers?  Really?  What planet have you been on?  Oh wait, that's right...you're headline readers and don't feel like taking the time to actually research anything on your own.  Therefore, you just take the word of others (the media) that conservatives are wrong.  Yeah...and you guys are SUPPOSEDLY the educated party. 

Last, high unemployment.  Yeah, at the time the economy collapsed we had a Republican President.  With that being said, the White House is only 1/3 of government.  Congress, which was run by the Democrats, actually are the ones who control the purse strings in government.  They are the ones who pass legislation and spend our money.  So if no jobs are available because businesses are running scared due to the ridiculous legislation passed by this body, is that really the fault of Republicans?  I'm not holding them innocent, but they were woefully outnumbered in the House and the Senate for many years.  Just want you to know that.  You may want to look at Pelosi and Reid and their records to see how they affected the current high unemployment.

Let me ask you people, who is the bigger fool?  The fool himself, or the person who blindly follows the fool without question?  You don't even really know what you're protesting, but does that bother you?  No!  Listen, do the world a favor and take a little time to study the facts.  If at that point you still want to take off your clothes, block bridges and disrupt traffic, and chant stupid slogans, I'll support you in that right.  But until you take the time to study the issues from ALL angles:  SHUT UP AND GO HOME!!!!!!

Everyday when my human leaves the house, she leaves the TV on for me.  She does this so I won't get lonely.  What it actually does its educate me on current events.  Although I do not have thumbs, I have mastered the remote control.  I get the news from various sources and I get to listen to every press conference coming out of D.C.  Yesterday I listened to Obama's press conference and I heard him say, "It's not class warfare, it's math."  I thought about it and thought about it and thought about it.  Then I decided I would try to do the figures myself.

First I tried the "old math" that Candi was taught as a child in school.  Obama's numbers didn't add up.  I thought, at first, that maybe it was just because I don't have fingers and toes so....I went to get the calculator.  How hard can a calculator be to use if I've mastered the remote?  Obviously it was a lot harder to use than the remote, because I still couldn't get the numbers to add up.

Then I tried the "new math" that kids are being taught today.  Obama's numbers still didn't add up.  Again, I thought it was just me.  So I went online and tried to figure out what I was doing wrong.  Maybe I just had the wrong beginning.  Nope, it wasn't the numbers I was given to start with.  Hmmmm....why wouldn't the numbers come out right?

Aha...I'll try "dog math", I thought.  So I started all over again.  Nope...the numbers still don't add up.  I used all my doggie toes on my paws, I tried the calculator, I tried an abacus....no matter what I did, nothing worked.  So....how did Obama get his numbers to add up?  I decided to ask Candi when she got home.

Patiently I waited and then finally I heard her car pull up.  I rushed to the door with my tail wagging because I knew that together we could figure it out.  As the door opened, I pounced.  "Candi," I said, "I need your help.  I've been trying all day to get Obama's numbers in his "jobs plan" to come out right and I just can't get it."

"Did you try "old math", she asked.  I nodded.  "Did you try "new math," she asked.  Again, I nodded.  "Did you try your "dog math", she asked.  Again, I nodded in the affirmative.  She sat down, got a pencil and paper out and said, "Ok Shasta, I'm going to teach you how to do "martian math".

So that's it!  The President's math is an alien math that only people from another planet can understand.  This is how his "Buffet rule" and "jobs plan" numbers come out right!  Duh!

Time To Rid America of Ticks!!!

Obama and liberals in D.C. are determined to drain every ounce of "blood" from the American people.  They refuse to see the failure of liberal policies and so, they keep re-introducing the same old line of "increasing taxes on the rich" and increasing the size of government by proposing a "jobs plan" that does nothing for actual recovery.  Does this NOT sound like a tick to you?  It sure does to me!

Americans take great pains in removing parasites from their beloved pets, but what are we actually doing to get rid of this parasitic administration?  You'll take your dog or cat to the vet when you THINK there might be a problem, but have you taken our government to your friends and family when you KNOW there is a problem?

It is time for Americans to remove the tick that is sucking the blood from the citizenry of the United States.  Obama and his cronies must be made to understand that we will not allow them to swell government to the point that this great nation is no longer recognizable. 

My human said it best, "I don't like removing ticks and other parasites from you, Shasta, but it has to be done.  It's for your overall well being!"  Of course, she's saying this as she's making gagging noises and trying not to throw up. 

I don't really like biting liberals (they have a bad after taste), but I do it when necessary.

The removal of ticks is gross, but it is necessary.  Will you help me rid America of the ticks that are threatening to drain the very essence of what makes this country great? 

How Obama And I Are Alike

Last night, my human was online discussing 2012 presidential candidates with friends.  Although she won't give us her favorite at this time, not even me, she joined in the discussion and shared the pros and cons of each candidate as she sees it.  Then I began to think about something that was said.  How the Democratic Party had groomed President Obama.  The thought that struck me hardest was how much alike he and I are.  Let me explain.

Candi has spent hours training me and I am usually pretty good about doing what is expected.  For example, I'm not allowed to sit and watch her eat.  She says that it isn't cool for dogs to do that because what they're doing is begging.  I can see her point.  But here's the thing, I do watch her eat.  When she catches me watching her, I quickly turn my head away to avoid being punished.  I'm hoping she won't notice that I had been watching.  Unfortunately for me, she never buys it.  Obama is kind of the same way.  His party had trained him to do certain things and for the most part, he does what he was taught.  However, ever so often he strays and when he gets caught, he tries to pretend he wasn't so that maybe they won't notice.  Guess what?  His party and the American people aren't buying it anymore than Candi buys that I wasn't watching her eat.  If they were buying, Maxine Waters wouldn't be screaming in frustration and Pelosi wouldn't have been caught saying, "Great words, but...".  Think about it!

When I mentioned this to my human as we were going to bed, she began to giggle.  She said I had a point and that maybe we could send "The Dog Whisperer" to the White House to "re-train" Obama.  She's a firm believer that "an old dog CAN learn new tricks" IF they have the right human.  So here's my suggestion.  Let's get rid of the trainers in Washington, on the state and local levels and replace them with trainers who have common sense and are true Patriots.  It's just a suggestion!

My Thoughts On Obama's Job Speech

Tonight my human tuned into POTUS' job speech while chatting live with her fellow Smart Girls and Guys on SGP.  I, as usual, turned my back on Obama because I just can't stand to look at him.  I do, however, wish to share my thoughts about the speech with you.

Once again, TOTUS did all the work!  Of course, TOTUS is the hardest working member of the Congress!  Still, it seemed someone had coached POTUS on how to put inflections into his voice.  This did not make him any more interesting to listen to, but at least I didn't hear the normal monotone.

POTUS once again blamed the rich for not paying their fair share and even once mentioned Warren Buffet by name.  Those in attendance seemed bored with this rhetoric.  They should be bored.  POTUS said absolutely nothing that they hadn't heard before.  Biden looked very uncomfortable and Boehner should be awarded an Oscar for not laughing at the same old ridiculous content!

Nothing he said was new.  Although this was expected, I have to wonder....he blames big business, the rich, Congress, Republicans and TEA partiers on a regular basis, when is he going to blame the K-9 population?  Seriously!  After asking Candi, I have confirmed that I do not pay my fair share!  According to her, I contribute absolutely nothing to society.  Yet we have been left out of the blame game that POTUS likes to play!

POTUS also never said how he is going to pay for his new jobs plan.  Candi figures it will once again come out of the pockets of small business.  He also wants more regulations that will stifle small business.  So...how is small business supposed to pay if they are in bankruptcy due to all the regulations?

Now, I know I'm just a dog, but even I know that nothing that POTUS said made any sense at all!  Tonight's speech was nothing more than a campaign speech and he abused his power as President by asking for a joint session of Congress!  More taxpayer money wasted so that he could give a campaign speech!  Ughhh...

"Candi," I began, "Would you please take me to D.C. so I can bite that moron on the bum?  Maybe then he'll get a grip on reality and Americans can move forward!"

"I'm packing now, Shasta!"

Please excuse me now while I do a happy dance at getting to do something useful and contribute to society!!!!

Mr. Obama, You Can't Be Serious!

While my human was away in Miami, America's credit rating was downgraded and the very first thing Obama and his cronies did?  Blame the TEA party.  Really?  Excuse me while I give you the "Have You Lost Your Mind?" look.

Members of the TEA party called their representatives in Washington to say, "Reduce spending, balance the budget and cap it".  This is exactly what the credit rating agencies wanted.  So...why is it our fault that America was downgraded?  It makes no sense to us dogs that the White House would blame the TEA party.

"Shasta, you must remember that the current administration lives in a fantasy world where they are always right and WE are always wrong," Candi said.

Maybe she's right, but I just can't understand how someone can see their policies failing and continue to think they're infallible!  I know I'm just a dog, but...really?

So here is how it should work (according to my human).  We have elections and elections have consequences.  We elect representatives who are expected to keep our best interests in mind when creating and passing legislation.  They are supposed to listen to us when we express our thoughts. 

This is how it currently works.  Our elected officials decide that we are stupid and don't know any better.  They ignore us and ram unwanted and unneccessary legislation and regulation down our throats.  Then they blame us when it doesn't turn out like they want.

So my question is...Mr. Obama, are you serious?  You can't possibly be so delusional that you honestly believe that your policies are working and people like my human are just too stupid to see it! 

"Candi," I said, "I believe change is good.  But I don't care how you dress it up, when you step in the kind of change I leave behind, it still stinks!"

"Well said, Shasta," she replied.  "That is why we must keep up the fight to remove the stench in Washington, disinfect D.C., and replace it with new change that leaves a pleasant scent behind!"

Obama Is Like Rebel (Nathan's "Special Needs" Dog)

We all know that I'm an intelligent dog.  My human has taken great pains to teach me about politics, how government in the U.S. is actually supposed to work, and about life in general.  Her brother's dog, Rebel, is a different story.  It doesn't matter what you do to teach him something or to break a behavior, he keeps doing the opposite.  In my humble doggie opinion, I think this is similar to Obama's way of doing things.  He just doesn't seem to learn.  So....I talked to my favorite human, Candi, about it.

"You know how everyone in the family keeps talking about that Fourth of July when Nathan's dog, Rebel, decided to eat fireworks as they were exploding?"

"Yes," Candi said as she started to giggle about it again.

"I know it was painful to Rebel everytime one of those exploded in his mouth.  Why didn't he stop?  Why couldn't Rebel leave the fireworks alone?  He would have been better off if he had," I told her.

"Well, Shasta, some people and dogs just don't learn.  Most of us learn our lessons, especially after getting hurt by something, but some NEVER learn.  They keep making the same mistakes over and over and over again," Candi explained.

"Candi, I know that I'm a dog and my IQ is that of a two-year old child.  But I know that when something is painful, you don't do it again.  So here is my question...Why does Obama keep doing the same thing over and over again?  Why does he keep playing the blame card?  Surely he has figured out that the American people aren't buying what he's selling anymore."

Candi got a thoughtful look on her face and then smiled when she said, "Because he's like Rebel.  He just doesn't comprehend the fact that his actions, and those of the people he has surrounded himself with, are going to keep backfiring on him.  Apparently, Pelosi and Reid keep applying balm to his burned fingers and, as a result, he hasn't figured out it's going to keep burning!"

"Well do you think the American voters have learned their lesson," I asked.

"I think so," Candi said.  "Stop and think about it Shasta.  Almost all the polls are showing his disapproval ratings going up and his approval ratings going down.  His constant references to Reagan are bunk, and those of us who grew up in that era know it!  Even his biggest supporters in Hollywood are beginning to turn on him."

"Then I have hope," I said. "I also have faith that humans like you will continue to cry out against the uncontrolled spending and liberal policies that are taking away our individual freedoms.  I have faith in people like you who will stand in the gap and hold the line to protect the greatness that is America.  And I have faith that in 2012 we will vote out a President that reminds me of Nathan's "special needs" dog."
